The Hierophant Tarot card is represented by the constellation of the Centaur in the Constellation Tarot deck. This is the centaur Chiron, who was the great healer and teacher in Greek mythology. He was accidentally wounded by Hercules, and was in great pain, unable to heal himself. Out of great respect for the healer, Zeus ended his pain and placed him in the stars.
